Muse: "Skrillex nos inspiró"

"Skrillex nos inspiró" cuenta la banda inglesa sobre su track "Unsustainable", mismo que podemos escuchar en el trailer para su próximo larga duración "The 2nd Law" (que saldrá el próximo 17 de septiembre)

"Fuimos a ver a Skrillex en Camden en octubre y fue algo como '¡carajo! está pesadísimo', nos encantó. Era como una tocada de metal, tenían círculos de la muerte, gente empujándose. No había visto una reacción así en la música electrónica antes. Nos inspiró y entonces hicimos 'The 2nd Law: Unsustainable'" 

"We went to see Skrillex in Camden around October, "We went, 'Fuck, it's so heavy,' loved it. I was like a full metal gig, they had circles of death, people were moshing, I hadn't seen a reaction like that to electronic music before. We took inspiration and came up with 'The 2nd Law: Unsustainable'."

Dom Howard, baterista, dijo:

"algo de ese duro dubstep y brostep que viene de América está capturando la imaginación" y Matt Bellamy agregó "el círculo del slam se ha movido de las guitarras para llegar a las laptops, así que, con esa canción queremos ver si podemos competir con les alaptop. Creamos algo que era "dubsteposo" pero queríamos saber si lo podíamos hacer con instrumentos reales. Quisimos preguntar: ¿las bandas de rock pueden competir con lo que estos chicos están haciendo? 

"Some of that hard dubstep and brostep coming from America, is capturing the imagination," singer Matt Bellamy adds. "The moshpit has moved from guitars and gone towards the laptop, so with that song we're trying to see if we can challenge the laptop. We created something that was dubsteppy but we wanted to see if we could do it with real instruments. We wanted to ask, 'Can rock bands compete with what these guys are doing?'"
