Noel Gallagher está promocionando su primer larga duración solista "Noel's Gallagher High Flying Birds", que estará disponible el 17 de Octubre, y tuvo una entrevista con Rolling Stone en dónde, principálmente, habló sobre Radiohead y su "rareza"; "The Cave", la canción de Mumford & Sons que le hubiera gustado escribir y un posible regreso de Oasis.
Aquí las preguntas exactas que respondió que, seguramente, les darán una mejor idea de lo que "quiso decir" sin malinterpetaciones:
¿Qué piensas de Radiohead?
Son un grupo raro, ¿no? Han estado haciendo el mismo disco desde Kid A. Pero esto hay que decirlo. No tengo ninguno de sus discos, pero cada vez que los veo en vivo, me hacen mierda los oídos. Fue como . "¡Wow, mierda escuchar eso! ¿cómo chingados haces que eso salga pro las bocinas?" es pinche increíble. Pero ¿he tenido alguna vez un momento en el que me haya sentado y pensado, "sabes a qué recuerda ésto? ésto recuerda a "Paranoid Android" ¡consíguelo"" No. nunca he tenido uno de esos momentos. "Dame "Mony Mony" o "Runaround Sue". Algo que puedas cantar.
"What do you think about Radiohead?They're an odd bunch, aren't they? They've been making the same record since Kid A. But this needs to be said. I don't own any of their records, but every time I've seen them live, they've fucking blown me away. It was like, "Wow, fucking listen to that! How do you fucking make that shit come out of those speakers?" It's fucking amazing. But have I ever had a moment where I fucking sat down and thought, "Do you know what this calls for? This calls for 'Paranoid Android!' Get it on!" No. I've never had that moment. Give me "Mony Mony" or "Runaround Sue." Something you can sing to."
¿Qué hay de Mumford & Sons?
¿Cuál fue la primer gran rola que tuvieron? La adoro. [murmura "The Cave"] No sé como chingados se llama. No he escuchado algo parecido que suene tan bien como eso. No pienso en ellos. Mucha pinche gente los odia en Inglaterra. Creo que es el chaleco y el vello facial (barba y ese pedo), no me importa. Creo que ese tipo tiene buena voz... desearía haber escrito esa canción. Es el mayor cumplido que puedo dar a quien haya escrito eso.
"How about Mumford & Sons?What's the first big song they had? I love that. [Hums "The Cave."] I don't know what the fuck it's called. I haven't heard anything that sounds as good as that. I don't mind them. A lot of fucking people hate them in England. I think it's the waistcoat and facial hair. I don't mind them. I think that guy's got a good voice . . . I wish had written that song. That's the biggest compliment I can pay whoever wrote that."
¿Hay alguna posibilidad de que Oasis se reúna?
Liam ha dicho que la idea le hace vomitar y qu enunca pasará, así que no necesito añadir algo a eso. No necesito el pinche dinero, pero creo que es una pena que canciones como "Champagne Supernova", "Rock and Roll Star", "The Importance of Being Idle" y "The Shock of The Lightning" no serán tocadas de nuevo. En un estadio. Ese tipo de cosas me llenan de tristeza. El dinero es como algo irrelevante.
Hay bandas que dicen, "No queremos regresar". Tenemos que hacer un nuevo disco" ¿Por qué? A la chingada un nuevo disco. Nadie da una mierda por tu nuevo disco. Toca los pinches clásicos. Los de Led Zeppelin son como: "Tiene que haber un nuevo disco" ¿De verdad? Sí, porque estaría chingonsísimo, ¿no?". Toca la pinche "Whole Lotta Love". Ve por eso.
