Serge Pizzorno (guitarrista de la banda) habló con el Diario Record -el de Reíno Unido- y dijo que no quieren repetir la experiencia de hacer un larga duración como el "West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum" y que su próximo material es el mejor que han hecho pro mucho: "El último álbum fue el concepto de un mundo entero del "West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum" y las canciones fueron experimentales y ahí están. Ya hice eso.
Cada banda necesita uno de esos (discos experimentales), un "Sgt. Pepper" o "A Satanic Majesty's Request". Ahora ya lo hice. En el nuevo álbum, cada track tiene su propia melodía"
"The last one [album] was the concept of the whole world of 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum' and the tunes were experimental and out there. I've done that now. Every band needs one of those, a 'Sgt. Pepper' or 'A Satanic Majesty's Request'. I've done that now. On the new album, every track is a proper tune."
Sobre el próximo material Pizzorno agregó: "Escribí el álbum de principio a fin en tres o cuatro meses. Realmente fue un corto espacio de tiempo y es un álbum increíble , el mejor que hemos hecho por mucho"
"I wrote the album from start to finish in three or four months. It was a really short space of time and it's an incredible album, the best we have ever done by miles."
Bueno, ni hablar, en lo personal el "West Ryder..." me pareció un disco grandioso. No volveremos a escuchar algo de ellos de tal forma, aunque, seguro con esa experiencia, su forma de escribir, grabar y tocar creció infinidad. Podemos estar tranquilos que nos encontraremos con algo bueno en el futuro. ¡Arre!
