Sammy Haggar: El próximo larga duración de Chickenfoot es el mejor álbum que he grabado en mi vida

"Chickenfoot III" es el segundo larga duración de Chickenfoot que estará disponible el 26 de Septiembre, mientras esperamos, la banda lanzó un par de teasers de este larga álbum y pronto podremos escuchar "Bigfoot" como primer corte del mismo.

El disco lo produjo Mik eFraser (AC/DC, Metallica) y Haggar lo describe en entrevista con RS como: "el mejor álbum que he hecho". "Es mucho más musical que el último material - los ganchos y canciones son mejores" agrega Satriani. "creamos un álbum que era más profundo y mejor que el primero... hace muy feliz a un músico cuando puede ver que está involucrado que está muy adelantado y cambia la vida".

"the best record I've ever made.", "It's a lot more musical than the last record – the hooks and the songs are better. Satriani adds, "We created a record that was deeper and better than the first one . . . it makes a musician very happy when they can see that they are involved with something that's very moving forward and life-changing."

Sin embargo Chad Smith no podrá girar con ellos debido al lanzamiento de "I'm With You" de los RHCP (que sale el 30 de Septiembre): "Es la mayor decepción de todo el asunto" dice Haggar, añadiendo que han estado audicionando a varios bateristas y entre esos a Kenny Aronoff (John Mellencamp, John Fogerty, Smashing Pumpkins), "Pasará algunos días con ésto ensayandopara ver si encaja. Será cuestión de química. Kenny puede tocar, eso es seguro y a todos nos agrada. Es un poco como Chad - un poco loco y le pega tan cabrón que derrumba su batería y cada vez que toca necesita una nueva"

"He's going to spend a couple days with this and were just going to jam and if he fits. It's got to be the chemistry. Kenny can play that's for sure and we all like him. He's kind of like Chad — he's kind of crazy and he hits so fucking hard that he beats his drum set to the ground that after every show he needs a new drum set."
