Emoción recorre mi piel al leer las noticias que da Billy Corgan con respecto al próximo ¿álbum? que lanzarán los Smashing Pumpkins...
En su sitio oficial, Corgan dice que "Teargarden by Kaleidyscope" estará compuesto de 44 cortes los cuales serán puestos en la red en diferentes fechas a lo largo de este año (y quizá el que sigue) completamente gratis, sí, GRATIS: "There will be no strings attached. Free will mean free, which means you won't have to sign up for anything, give an email address, or jump through a hoop. You will be able to go and take the song or songs as you wish, as many times as you wish" ¡Totálmente gratis, sin ataduras ni base de datos o links molestos!
Según ésto, Las priemras 4 canciones estarán "arriba" alrededor del Halloween gringo, para que se vayan poniendo atentos; Corgan escribe que lanzarán las canciones en presentaciones físicas como EP's para los que amamos lo palpable... y también habrá unas ediciones especiales cuando ya estén fuera las 44 canciones... ¡puros machetazos a nuestra cartera!
El disco estará basado en "La travesía del Bobo", como lo maneja el Tarot:"The story of the album is based on 'The Fool's Journey', as signified in the progress of the Tarot. It is my intention to approach this by breaking down the journey of our life here into four phases as made by these different characters; the Child, the Fool, the Skeptic, and the Mystic", también dice que escucharemos la mejor época psicodélica de los Pumpkins: "The music of 'Teargarden by Kaleidyscope' harkens back to the original psychedelic roots of The Smashing Pumpkins: atmospheric, melodic, heavy, and pretty"...
